Trout Hunter

On The Henry's Fork

Go Florida Fishing:  Saltwater Fishing: (Tampa Bay, Florida Gulf Coast, Boca Grande Pass, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Tarpon Springs ... Tarpon, Redfish, Snook, Speckled Trout, and Cobia)

http://www.gofloridafishing.com website describes them the best ... "Captain James Goodwin grew up on Tampa Bay. For him, every single one of the flats and reefs of Tampa Bay, St. Petersburg, Tarpon Springs, Clearwater and Boca Grande Pass are as familiar as his own home. He knows where the fish are and he knows when to find them. Snook in July, August and September. Redfish in March, April, September and October. Tarpon and Permit fish in May and June. Trout in November, December, January and February. Day or night, he’ll head straight to the best spot, near shore or off-shore. "   ... first time I fished with Capt. James was a Tarpon trip in Boca Grande and a filming session for the Outdoor Channel's Tarpon of Boca Grande.  The film crew was cool, but the fishing was 10 times better.  I know very few guides that work as hard as Capt. James to put you on fish.

They are also experts on the famous God's River where huge Brook Trout are found." - Greg Dick, lodge manager/owner

MARI: Maryland Artificial Reef Initiative

Better Fishing Through Better Habitat:  The Maryland Artificial Reef Initiative is dedicated to providing the Chesapeake Bay with improved marine habitat through artificial structural growth.  In the fall of 2006, an opportunity arose between the Maryland Department of Natural Resource, the Costal Conservation Association of Maryland (CCA), charter boat captains, and others to deposit almost 4,000 tons of concrete rubble from the Woodrow Wilson Bridge renovation project into the Chesapeake Bay to bolster a reef at Point No Point in St. Mary's County.  This started a revival of much needed growth of algae, mussels, barnacles, and oysters in the bay.  Within weeks, anglers started reporting increased catches of striped bass and blues in the area.

These actions created a new directive for Maryland ecology in the Chesapeake Bay.  For more information, please visit http://www.ccamd.org/MARI/MARI_home.htm or https://secure.mysuperpageshosting.com/ccamd.org/MARI_donate.htm to make your tax-deductible contribution today.
