Raritan Bay, N.J.
Not all of the striped bass hold up in the Chesapeake Bay. Many striped bass either spawn or summer in the waters off of New York and the northern hook of New Jersey. And for some stripers, this is just a feeding and recovery area on their way to Maine. The shadows of New York City, the Statue of Liberty, and where the great World Trade Centers once stood offer some of this countries most excellent year round opportunities for stripers.
